The Results Are In

First of all a big thank you to all of you who took the time to fill our the Dragon Surf survey, as always your feedback is appreciated. I went over the results and there will be some changes at Dragon Surf today, but first a little explanation…

A few people asked why there is a limit on the number of bonus credits we can give away, in fact one member commented that credits was just a “made up currency”. So here are the basics of how a traffic exchange works…

In order to deliver one hit to a site someone else needs to surf one page. The total number of sites surfed must be greater than or equal to the total number of hits delivered - if not the traffic exchange will start building a backlog of credits to be delivered and traffic will stop flowing. So when you take pages surfed and detract credits earned, bonus credits for upgrading, credit packages sold, referrals credits etc. that leaves me with the number of credits I can give away as bonuses. As you can see that would be a finite number - anyway, enough of the math and back to the poll results and changes…

Game Page Will Show After 15 Pages Surfed
The question divided you a bit, but in the end 32% voted for 15 pages with 29% and 19% for 10 and 20 pages respectively. So the Dragon Surf game will now show after 15 pages surfed and that leaves us room to do some occasional 10 page days.

Win or Lose?
This one surprised me a bit. 60% of you said you would prefer the risk of losing in exchange for bigger prizes (quite a few actually commented that they get a good chuckle out of being roasted by the Dragon). So we will maintain a risk of losing in the game and that gives us more room for bigger prizes and for doing special bonus surf days.

Just Credits?
On par with the results above a massive 64% said that they would prefer the chance to win credits, banners or text links in exchange for bigger prizes. So we’ll keep it as it is, and again this will leave us room for bigger prizes and special surf sessions.

The Comments!
A ton of people left a text message in the comment field and I’ll address the most common messages here. Note that I have read them all, so even if they don’t get mentioned here they are part of my considerations.

Warm & Fuzzy
The vast majority of the comments were something along the lines of “You don’t need to change anything, I love Dragon Surf as it is - keep up the good work”. Thanks a lot, that really made my day But of course there were suggestions, so lets take a look at them.

New Surf Bar Images
A few people requested some new (bigger) images to click on. I will look into this and the images were due for an update anyway (for security reasons).

Variation On The Prize Pages
A few of you don’t like winning the ebooks, software etc. on the 250, 500 and 750 page prizes. I have plans to add other stuff in the near future including upgrades, credits and Splash Points.

Commissions To Paypal
Yep a few people would like to withdraw their cash to Paypal. That option has always been available in Dragon Surf. Just go to the “Cash Out” page in your members area and click the withdraw link (there is a $10 minimum).

2:1 Surf Ratio For Free Members
With all the bonuses you already get a lot more than that. If we raised the base surf ratio to 2:1 for free members there would be no room for game prizes and bonuses, + traffic flow would very like slow down.
